Hairsh Kalyan Early Life and Family

Harish Kalyan was born in Coimbatore and brought up in Chennai. He was born on 29 June 1990  and he is 31 years old now. His father’s name is Five-star Kalyan who is a well-known film distributor cum producer and also a music label owner. He portrayed Harish Kalyan’s father in Vil Ambu (2016). Harish Kalyan is also a good singer and keyboard artist. There is no complete detail available regarding his family. Harish Kalyan is married and having one child. He belongs to the Hindu religion and is married to a Hindu girl. He is very close to his mom and wife.

Harish Kalyan started his career soon after completing his studies in the year 2010. In the year 2010, he made his Tamil debut in the movie Sindhu Samaveli. This movie was an erotic thriller movie in which Amala Paul acted opposite Harish Kalyan. The storyline of the movie is an illegal affair with Father in law by Amala Paul and the husband is Harish Kalyan. This movie got a very controversial bad review and made harish life into backstages. Then in the same year, he appeared in the movie Aridhu Aridhu by Thaman musical and it also failed to perform in the box office.

In the next year 2011, he starred in the S.A Chandrasekar’s movie Sattapadi Kutram. The film showcased the changes our legal system demands, with Harish playing a spoilt brat who eventually turns over a new leaf in the film. This movie also becomes a big flop at the box office. Then he did many cameo roles in Tamil and Telugu movies and it was also failed.

After a series of six failed films, his performance in the movie Poriyalan came into the limelight in the year 2014. In this film, Harish Kalyan appeared as a civil engineer who is seeking to become a property developer and finally got trapped in a real estate scam. This movie gave him a career breakthrough and his face was recognized by many peoples. Then in the year 2016, he again appeared in the movie named Vil Ambu. In this movie, Harish Kalyan’s look was liked by many youngsters and his face became very familiar to the audience from this film. Despite winning positive reviews, the film did middling business at the box office.

In 2017, Harish appeared in another Telugu film, the romantic comedy Kaadhali, where he featured alongside Sai Ronak and Pooja Doshi.

His career breakthrough happened in the year 2017, at Big Boss Season 1. Harish Kalyan is one of the contestants in Big Boss Season 1 Tamil hosted by actor Kamalahasaan. He joined the show on day 53 as a new contestant and finally got runner-up in the show. In this show, his humbleness towards the co-showmances was highly appreciated by many audiences and his charming look steals the heart of many youngsters.

After completing the show successfully his fame become so great and got a chance to act in Elen’s movie “Pyaar Prema Kadhal” in the year 2018, which featured him opposite fellow Bigg Boss contestant, Raiza Wilson. This movie got a good positive review from all over the Tamil audience. Then in the year 2019, he appeared in the movie Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum. In this movie, he played an aggressive and possessive youngster which is opposite to the previous movie character.

Then he did a comedy-drama movie “Dhanusu Rasi Neyargale” in a lead male character who is highly superstitious. He played the role of a staunch believer in josiyam and jadhagam. In the same year, Harish Kalyan won positive critical acclaim for his performance as Prabhu Govind in the movie “Dharala Prabhu”.

Recently he signed and doing a Chimbu Devan Project titled “Kasada Thapara” produced by Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket film company. In January 2012, he announced his intentions of releasing two songs he had worked on titled “Kutty Peg – A Toast to Life” and “Ovvoru Manushanuukum Ovvoru Feelings”.In 2016, Harish released an independent song titled “I’m Single”, working as a singer and lyricist for the song, which had music composed by L. V. Muthukumarasamy.
