    India is a country located in the Indian subcontinent, surrounded by the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Both these seas are home to a variety of Indian islands, some of which are inhabited while others are uninhabited.     India’s Island Groups in the Arabian Sea

    The Arabian Sea is home to the Lakshadweep Islands, which are the most well-known island group in India. These islands are located off the coast of Kerala and are made up of 36 coral atolls and islands. The largest of these islands is Minicoy, which is home to a population of around 10,000. Other islands in the group include Agatti, Amini, Kavaratti, Kalpeni, and Kiltan.

    The Lakshadweep Islands are a popular tourist destination, offering stunning beaches, clear waters, and a variety of activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and kayaking. The islands are also home to a variety of unique flora and fauna, making them a great spot for nature lovers.

    The Bay of Bengal is home to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which are located off the coast of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This group of islands is made up of 572 islands, of which only 36 are inhabited. The largest and most well-known island is Great Nicobar, which is home to around 50,000 people.

    These islands are popular with tourists due to their pristine beaches, tropical rainforests, and clear waters. The islands are also home to a variety of unique wildlife, including the saltwater crocodile, king cobra, and Andaman wild pig. The islands also offer a variety of activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and bird watching.
