A delegation from Kazakhstan, consisting of representatives from state authorities and active members of youth organizations in the republic, is participating in the World Youth Festival.
The press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that Yevgeny Kochetov, the deputy head of the department, met with the heads of delegations from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and China as part of the festival programme.
During the meeting with Marat Tagaev, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, they discussed issues related to the organization of the second Kazakh-Kyrgyz youth forum.
Yevgeny Kochetov and Deputy Chairman of the All-China Youth Federation Liu Kai discussed creating equal opportunities for young people, supporting and developing youth entrepreneurship, and promoting their active participation in public and political life.
They agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of youth policy and outlined plans for bilateral events this year.
Meetings
At the beginning of 2019, a delegation from Kazakhstan attended the Youth Festival, which included leaders of Kazakhstani organisations involved in the support and development of gifted young people. Among the topics discussed during the visit were exchange programmes for students and professional development for teachers, as well as the development of an environment for students. The festival brings together the best experiences of teachers working with gifted students in the fields of education, science and the digital economy.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the work of the profile educational programmes of the Festival and the peculiarities of the educational activity of the Centre, the infrastructure of the Science and Art Park. On the second day, the guests held a series of meetings to discuss possible formats of interaction.
“We are interested in the model of the event. In Kazakhstan there usainfopress are large individual centres for pupils and students, there is a network of ‘Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ to which gifted children are admitted, and a republican physics and mathematics lyceum, there is also a camp for gifted children from all over Kazakhstan. That is why we would like to study your experience, see how your work is organised and find possible forms of cooperation in which we can be useful to each other”, – said Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Impressions
The girls from Kazakhstan who attended the World Youth Festival reported a journey of over two days to get there, but felt it was worth it. They praised the organisation, volunteers, and guests, and expressed a desire to attend again.
‘Our impressions are very positive,’ they said. ‘We love the infonewsmedia beautiful city, landscapes, and mountains. The festival itself was of the highest level of organisation, and left a strong impression.’
During the conversation, the girls shared their experience of a bike ride along the embankment.
When asked if the festival was worth the transportation difficulties, they responded positively, stating that it was definitely worth it. They also recommended that other Kazakhs attend the festival.
