Darryl Dwayne Granberry was born and brought up in Pontiac, Michigan on Oct 10, 1997, and he is 24 years old. His father was an audio engineer and he is having one younger sister who is also having a youtube channel named “Tee Tee”. He completed his high schooling at International Tech Academy. After that, he went to Central Michigan University for graduation and later dropped out to become a Youtuber. DDG states that he is earning $30,000 per month because of dropping out from graduation. Then he decided to move to Hollywood, California to be a full-time entertainer. DDG has one older brother who was murdered in 2014.

When DDG was in childhood he was very much interested in music and he made some music in the studio of his father.

His first music track was on a diss track named ‘Lil Yachty’ which was called ‘Big Boat’. In the year 2016, he released two songs called ‘Balenciagas’ and ‘Free Parties’, and both were produced by Zaytoven. Then he teamed up with Famous Dex and released the album ‘Lettuce’ on the YouTube channel, which has 5 Million views in 1 hour. After the successful album, he got an opportunity to release the video along with Worldstar HipHop.

DDG’s Career breakthrough happened in the year 2017, in this year he released a single named ‘Givency’ which received 25 Million views on his YouTube Channel. Then he released Take Me Serious with record labels.

June 2018, he signed a record deal with Epic Records. In the same year, he released a single named ‘Argments’ which is certified Gold by the RIAA on April 15, 2020. In the year 2019, he released three albums named ‘Sorry for the Hold Up’, Push’, ‘Valedictorian’.

The single ‘ Moon Walking in Calabasas’ was the first song to feature in Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 62 in the year 2020. In the same year, he released ‘Money Long’, Die 4 Respect’, in this Die fro respect listed in Billboard 200 peaked at 61.

The famous YouTuber DDG is dating Kennedy Cymone who is also a YouTuber in the year 2017. They were engaged briefly before calling it quits in summer 2018. Many of us thought that DDG is dating Kellie Sweet, a Youtube Personality. Since we saw them together in a video. But they explained they were not in a relationship.
